Tiranti RTV Silicone Thixo Additive

Use 0.5% to 2% addition. Thixotropic additive is suitable for use with the RTV120, RTV128 and RTV115 silicone rubbers. It is not a skin safe product and cannot be used on the body. For making skin moulds which are backed with another material or moulding immovable vertical objects. Thixo additive is used as a third component, and it changes the catalysed rubber from flowable to non-slump (not a paste). Use 0.5% to 2% of Thixo Additive to weight of rubber. We have found a 2% addition gives an excellent brushing rubber which does not trap air but remains non-slump. A second layer, if required, should be added whilst the first is tacky. Thixo Additive will shorten the available pot life. Test before use.
