Tiranti Microcrystalline Wax Pellets

Derived from the dewaxing of base oil in the refinery process, our microcrystalline wax is made up of saturated hydrocarbons possessing a fine-grained crystal structure which renders them much more flexible than paraffin waxes.

Micro waxes blend well with solvents to form a smooth paste, they increase tensile strength and rigidity, while improving stability and scuff resistance. Good for dyeing with wax pigments, for use with hot carving tools.

• This wax has a wide variety of uses, being flexible, ductile, cohesive, non-staining.
• Non-Toxic, almost odourless wax, very fluid when melted.
• Supplied in pellet form.
• Uses include polishes, modelling, candle making and blending with other waxes.
• Melting point approximately 71°C (160°F).
