Ceradel Black Ice Porcelain Clay

Black Ice is a black porcelain noted for its beautiful black graphite. It has high plasticity, which makes it ideal for wheel-throwing and modelling. Its formula is very stable and provides a secure firing range between 1200 and 1250°C (oxidizing atmosphere).

• Biscuit temperature: 1000°C.
• Plasticity: 11.
• Drying shrinkage: 5.1%
• Firing shrinkage (1220§C): 10.2%.
• Porosity (water absorption at 1220°C): 0.0%.
• Suitable for tableware (food-safe), according to ISO 6486:1999.

PLEASE NOTE: 

This body requires a Zinc-Free Transparent Glaze to maintain the strong black colour.
